Ultraman 2013 - Ultra Egg?

Images are pretty blurry, but I think we're in store for a new Ultraman series at last. Seems to be modeled after the Ultra Egg toyline - basically eggs that fold out into monsters and Ultraman characters. It's been out for a little while, but this is the first time a full on Ultra/Ultraman character and weapons have been marketed in conjunction with it. I can't quite make out the logo but I see what might be the shapes for ウルトラエッグ - Ultra Egg.

I agree. It kind of looks like he's sporting a doctor's jacket.

So capsule monster chess: Ultra edition? I could...I could get into that. Should I be ashamed to admit that? Cause I'm not. The merchandising alone would fund series for years to come, though I'm not sure what it would do to the faithful fans. The kids will love it though, as will the gachapon machine companies.

"Capsule monsters" sounds like something from Ultraseven anyway, so that... sort of... makes sense?

Anyway, this could just be another silly little mini-series like Ultra Zone was. Looks oh so very weird. Is he a doctor from outer space? Does this mean he has a phone booth?

If you look really closely it's actually just Ultraman Nice with a lab coat and sunglasses.

It looks like the wait continues.

If you take a look at the sides of the face they're actually not the same design.

If this thing turns out to be a series, I...think they might take a Gokaiger/Decade route and have this guy be able to summon various monsters and Ultraman through those eggs.

EDIT - Now that I look at the picture, I think the character's name is Dr. Egg?

I'm almost positive that's Nice, I'm looking at my figure of him right now and they both have some of the same features.

Although they could be reusing the mask and try to pass him off as a relative of Nice, like they did with those three Zearth look a likes.
