Kohei Takeda (Kiva's Otoya) and Gackt to star in Sengoku Basara Moonlight Party

For those new to it all, Sengoku Basara is based on a series of video games that plays some really interesting (and at times absurd) twists on Japanese history. There have been two short anime based on them and now it seems like they're getting a live action TV show! Pretty much anything under the Sengoku Basara line has been awesome, and seeing a toku actor in a starring role is going to be tons of fun. The series starts July 12th.

Hm... checking the original source, they call it a tv drama. For a while, I thought it was going to be some kind of weird variety show... Anyway, I'm looking forward to this, I hope it gets subbed.

If they keep a lot of the insane visuals the Sengoku Basara stuff are known for, then probably yeah.

Looking forward to this! I love Sengoku Basara! I hope Kohei Takeda will pull off Sanada Yukimura's hot-bloodedness. He's my favourite character!
