Just like how Sentai had to lighten it's tone during the 2000's, Kamen Rider has done the same thing. To be honest, I had no problem with the franchise heading toward a lighter direction, since that's what today's fans in Japan want. Not to mention that the dark & very serious tone has been overused.

I'm sorry but Sentai and Rider are two different beasts and I think Sentai becoming a more colorful Rider would be hard to take seriously. I doubt that Sentai is going to get Rider-fied. That's not what the franchise needs to get life again. It needs something that will allow it to stand up on its own merits for the years to come.

Exactly, since Sentai has to find ways to re-invent itself especially since it never went on a hiatus since Battle Fever. Which is why Go-Busters is considered the first of the next generation.

I wouldn't be too optimistic at this stage. There may be no romance (OOO didn't have any) and the drama would probably be toned down even from what there is in OOO and Den-O - since Rider is for a slightly older audience and Sentai is aimed at pre-schoolers

Project.R...so, that norrows it down to either Hideaki Takatori, Yoffy, Imajo, Takayoshi Tanimoto, Takafumi Iwasaki, Hideyuki Takahashi, NoB, Sister MAYO, Mayumi Gojo, Tsuyoshi Matsubara, Saki Oshitani, Kenichiro Ooishi, or Hiroaki Kagoshima.

That's one of the coolest things, holding off the main gattai until later because it gives it build up and more of an epic feel.

I suppose I'll root for Hideaki Takatori. I like that guy, can't remember the last time he had an OP.
