Kamen Rider Ryuki: A Different Direction...
Reflection 0: Devil's Reflection (Prologue)
"Gen, get down!" a man shouted towards his friend as they ran for their lives.
The two guys halted and ducked down as something flew pass their heads. The thing was a bird. However, this was no ordinary bird. It was bigger than any normal birds. It resembled an eagle, except for the fact that it was black colored with golden trimmings. It didn't even look much like a bird, but more like a monster. The bird screeched at the two men, and came soaring for them again. This time though, the man stood up and pulled out something that seemed like a card holder.
"Shinji! What the heck are you doing!? Get down!" The other man, Gen, shouted at his friend, Shinji.
Shinji didn't seem to listen, however. Raising his card holder and holding it in front of the monster, something began to shine from the card holder. The bird screeched even louder, and then suddenly took off. Gen, shocked, stood up and stared at Shinji, unable to believe what had just happened.
"Shinji... what did you do...?" Gen asked. He then noticed the dragon design on the card holder. For a moment then, Gen thought he heard a dragon's roar ringing in his ears. As he looked around though, nothing was there.
"Whatever you did man, you sure saved my life." Gen said as he looked around, still curious about where the bird went, and more importantly, the dragon's roar he had heard. Shinji didn't seem to have heard him though, because now, he seemed more focused on the reflection of himself on a nearby car.
"Gen... run!" Shinji suddenly shouted. Gen was about to ask what was wrong, but his question was answered almost immediately. A strange ringing noise was going on all of the sudden. Gen turned to look at the reflection that Shinji was looking at and then realized why he had to run. The reflection was bubbling, and even though it wasn't a clear image, Gen saw it again. The bird was back, only, it's in reflection form.
"What harm could it do man? It's only a reflection!" Gen exclaimed, but soon swallowed his words. Almost immediately, the bird popped out of the car as if it were some sort of portal and began flying towards Shinji and Gen. Scared, Gen ducked down and closed his eyes in fear, thinking that this was his end.
"God, I am too young to die!" Gen began to pray. As the screech got louder, Gen assumed that he was about to be eaten alive, when something else happened. He didn't see it, but what he heard confused him.
"It's been awhile since I had some exercise! Henshin!" Gen heard Shinji shouted. Gen then opened his eyes to see what was going on, but a blinding white light blinded him. As the light faded away, Gen thought he had gone crazy.
Where Shinji had once stood, is now an armored warrior. He was red colored and on his forehead was the same dragon design as Shinji's card holder.
"What are you!?" Gen exclaimed. The warrior didn't seem to hear him though. The bird soared towards the warrior, but he grabbed it by it's wings and dragged it towards the car. The warrior ran at a really fast speed. For a second, Gen thought he was suicidal, but as they both reached the car, instead of crashing into it, they were somehow absorbed into the reflection and disappeared into the car.
Gen stood up and walked towards the car. He didn't get there though, because something had just hit him on the back of his neck very hard, causing him to fall unconscious...

Ok... I was hoping to revive this story. Re-type the entire thing. Change a bunch of characters. Took my awhile to find the thread, but hey here it is!
Anyways, you're all welcomed to read what's still there, but as time goes, the story up here won't be there. Instead, I'll replace it with a new story, so don't expect to be following Ren, Shinji, and Jun into the mirror world to find the new Rider, cause it's gonna be a new story!

So... I'm sorry for not updating much, I have typed up Chapter 1, 2, and 3, but I haven't the time to post anything up. I'm still editing Chapters 1 and 2 for grammar mistakes before I actually post it up and so that it wouldn't feel like such a rush when I post it up, but I promise the small amount of fans I have, which I doubt I have any, that I will have it up a week or two after New Years, MAX. Earliest would probably be by next week.

Reflection 1: A Life for a Life, Part 1
Gen slowly gained consciousness as soon as the sunlight hit his eyes. Opening them, he realized that he wasn't on his own bed. To be more precise, he wasn't even in his own house. Getting up, Gen looked around. He noticed another bed across the room. The room wasn't decorated with anything though. It was plain. All there was were some bags near the beds, as if the people staying here were only going to be staying here for a short while.
"Where the heck am I?" Gen asked out loud. Looking around again, he found door and exited the room. As he closed the door behind him, Gen could hear people arguing downstairs.
"You realize that bringing him in here would set him on the same, pathetic path as you!?" A man's voice rang from downstairs. His voice was loud and manly. Gen didn't recognize his voice though, despite how very fond of it he was.
"What was I suppose to do with him!? Leave him out for those monsters to eat him up!?" A familiar voice shouted back. Gen realized who it was almost immediately. He was with this man last night, though it seemed kind of a blur. The man's name was Kido Shinji.
Suddenly, flashes of event came running back to Gen. He remembered running, being chased by some sort of animal.
"No... It wasn't even an animal... It was a monster..." Gen told himself as he saw it's appearance clearly now. Then, something else struck him. There was something wrong with Shinji last night as well. It wasn't really wrong though, it was just very weird. From what Gen recalled, Shinji had changed last night. He wasn't sure how or why, but he was certain Shinji had done something he did not have an explanation for.
As Gen came back to his senses, he continued his way down to see what the fuss was about. As he reached the first floor, he realized he had been staying at a cafe, but it was closed at the moment. Turning his attention to the argument, he walked over there to find out what was going on.
As Gen entered the area, Shinji and the other man stopped talking. They turned around and looked at him, a little surprised.
"Ren!?" Gen suddenly exclaimed as soon as he got a clear look at the other man. Ren, the man that Gen had just identified, immediately walked over to him.
"What are you doing here!? I thought you were going to a University!?" Ren asked as he grabbed Gen's shoulder and began shaking him.
"Calm down Ren!" Gen said as he pushed Ren's hands off his shoulder. There was a moment of silent for a while. Ren and Gen simply observed one another curiously.
"How exactly do you guys know each other?" Shinji asked from behind Ren, breaking the silence. Ren turned around to face Shinji. Only then, did Shinji realized what was going on; Ren and Gen looked almost identical except for the fact that Ren's hair was spiky and Gen's was all messy.
"Twins!?" Shinji exclaimed.
"Mind your own business, Kido." Ren said.
"Hey c'mon man, don't get all grumpy." Gen said to Ren. Turning his attention back to Gen, Ren spoke again.
"Shut up. You don't have the right to say anything unless you tell me why you're even here." Ren said.
"OK, OK, I will. Can I just sit down first?" Gen asked. Ren simply grabbed a chair from a table nearby and slammed it down in front of Gen. Taking his seat, Gen looked up, a bit uncomfortable. He then began to speak.
"So, it started when I got this mail from my professor. He and I have been working on an experiment based on a theory that he came up with. He said that his colleague was working on it with him, but since I'm his best student, he could use an extra pair of hands to help him figure things out." Gen explained.
"What's the professor's name and who is his colleague?" Ren asked.
"His name was Yukiji Hagata. I think his colleague's name was something Ejima..." Gen answered. Ren's eyes widened as he heard the name. Turning around, he realized Shinji's expression was tensed as well. Snapping back at Gen, Ren grabbed his shoulders again.
"Ejima!? Have you ever met him before!? Where is he now!? What did you help them do!?"
"Jeez, stop strangling me man!" Gen exclaimed. Ren backed off again, this time a bit impatient.
"I've met Professor Ejima only once, and I don't know where he is now. The project went on a hiatus six months ago when he disappeared."
"What did he ask you to do?”
"I don't know..." Gen replied, looking at the ground with uncertainty. Ren drew closer and looked at Gen in the eyes.
"Look Gen, you've gotta tell me. I can help you." Ren said. Gen looked up at Ren, his eyes full of distrust.
"Help me? You walked out on us Ren! You left me and mom and dad back at home when decided to not go to University! You've never even bothered to call on our birthday and now you're saying you wanna help me!? You can take that offer and shove it!" Gen yelled at him. At this point, Ren lost it. He grabbed Gen by the collar of his shirt and looked as if he was about to punch him.
"Don't you dare bring that up! You know full well why I had to leave!" Ren yelled back at Gen. At this point, Shinji came immediately in between both of them.
"Calm down Ren! You're only making matters worse!" Shinji said as he pulled Ren's hands of Gen's collar.
"Kido don't interefe-"
"No, I will! YOU will go and sit while I do the talking now!" Surprisingly, Ren turned around and walked away. Turning his attention back to Gen, Shinji grabbed a chair and sat down next to him.
"So what did your professor and Ejima wanted you to help them with?" Shinji asked.
"I don't know what it exactly is, but from what I could tell, they were creating these deck of cards. They weren't just any cards, I believe he called them ParaAdvent Cards." Gen said. He seemed to have loosened up a bit, as if what he just told Shinji weighed him down.
"ParaAdvent Cards?" Shinji asked, dumbfounded.
"Professor Hagata and Professor Ejima said they were originally Advent Cards created by someone else called Kanzaki Shirou." Gen replied. At this moment, Shinji's eyes widened.
"They stole and modified Advent Decks that Kanzaki didn't give out!?" Shinji thought to himself.
"Both the professors did mention something else though." Gen said.
"What is it?" Shinji asked, but Gen didn't get a chance to reply. At that moment, a ringing sound started to ring. Shinji's ears twitched as he turned around to see Ren dashing from the back of the cafe. He looked at Gen, and then turned back to Shinji. The ringing got a bit louder and Ren immediately ran out of the cafe, got on his bike, started it, and drove away.
"What is that noise?" Gen asked.
"You can hear it!?" Shinji asked, surprised.
"Yeah... Both the professors said that if I had this, I'd be able to protect myself..." Gen said as he reached into his pockets and pulled out an Advent deck, only, it wasn't. There wasn't a design on the Advent deck yet. It was a simple plain black deck. The cards were red though, instead of the usual blue. The cards also seemed to be drawn from the left side, rather than the usual right.
"Is that... a ParaAdvent Deck?" Shinji asked. Gen nodded in response.
"Do you know how to use it?" Shinji asked.
"Not a clue..." Gen replied. Shinji sighed.
"Let's go, your brother's probably waiting for me." Shinji said as he went ahead and pushed the door of the cafe open.
"Waiting for what?"
"Well, I'm sure you have questions... Come find the answers then!" Shinji smiled as he exited the cafe.
"Ah wait up!" Gen shouted after him as he tucked the ParaAdvent Deck into his pocket again and ran out after Shinji. As the ringing continued in the cafe, a man was seen in the mirror wearing a light brown trench coat and has messy hair. He was watching the two as they left. He then smiled and disappeared...
