My opinion on why MMPR is still considered the best... beside nostalgia

Dinosaurs, check.

MMPR didnt pull punches. When the morphers came out, action blasted onto the screen. There was no pause. Monsters came out, did some attacks and the rangers didnt fuck around. You didnt have 50 different megazords. Just one, THE Megazord.And a special attack that had you cheering when it was pulled out. You knew, once the Power Sword came out, the enemy was fucked.

You also had interesting looking villains and creatures with mythologies that were fun to watch. A witch, a gryphon, a monster-cobbler, and two bumbling idiots.

I mean seriously. There was so much fucking win going on, it would have been impossible to fail.

MMPR is far too simple to look back and say "that would work again, definitely!"

It was a product of its time and nothing more.

What I meant was that it was remembered best. Yeah its corny but compared to later seasons, it managed to stay original. I was only talking about within the Power Rangers fanbase. I think we fans appreciate that after seasons that copy Sentai.

Besides... Regular Show, Naked Animal Show, a bunch of the newer cartoons on Cartoon Network... MMPR has a decent enough of a chance today. Besides, the fact we still have Rangers and Sentai show also shows MMPR has a chance today.

Yeah, until they got the Dragonzord and combined with that and they then got Titanus and combined with that.

Personally, I never saw the hype around MMPR, i hated it with a passion.

MMPR worked because it was a product of its time (martial arts like in TMNT, dinosaurs like in Jurassic Park).

People still like it for the same reason people still like Star Trek TOS, disco music or movies like The Goonies: it is a testament to an era (in this case, the early 90s).
