Tanaka Reina to graduate from Morning Musume and Hello! Project
by ustar on November 18, 2012
It’s been announced that Morning Musume’s Tanaka Reina will be graduating from the group after their 2013 spring concert tour. She will also be kicking off her activities with a new unit next spring.
This was announced on November 18th during the Tokyo concert of Morning Musume’s concert tour, ‘Morning Musume. Tanjou 15 Shunen Kinen Concert Tour 2012 Fall ~Colorful Character~‘. After the introduction of 11th generation member Oda Sakura, Tanaka revealed, “Everyone, I think you know, but the band members I’ve been looking for since June has been decided!”
Back in June, Tanaka reported through her official blog that she would be starting up a band along with her activities as Morning Musume. At the same time, it was announced that she was looking for the band’s vocalist and guitarist. While she started accepting applications from the public from June 5th, there were no persons qualified. The second round started on August 1st, and she was successfully able to find her band mates.
As the crowd roared in excitement, Tanaka guided the successful candidates onto stage. She first introduced the vocalist, 19 year old Okada Marina from Tokyo. “My favorite artist is LADY GAGA. Please treat me well,” she said nervously. Then, guitarist Miyazawa Marin made her appearance. She’s also 19 years old and is from Miyazawa. “My favorite genre is hard rock and heavy metal. I’m also a Pokemon otaku!,” she shared. The last member on stage was another guitarist, 21 year old Uozumi Yuki from Tokyo. “My favorite band is MAROON 5. My favorite subject in school was history,” she appealed.
After introducing the band, Tanaka commented, “From now on, the 4 of us will pursue our band activities, but we don’t have a band name yet.” She revealed that they will also ask the public to help them name their band. The band will officially kick off their activities next spring with their main focus on lives.
Finally, Tanaka stated, “I have one more announcement,” and announced, “Next spring, I, Tanaka Reina will graduate!” She will be graduating from both Morning Musume and Hello! Project after their concert tour, ‘Morning Musume. Concert Tour 2013 Spring Michishige☆Eleven SOUL ~Tanaka Reina Graduation Special~‘.
Following the announcements, the girls of Morning Musume took the stage and showed a cheerful performance. Towards the end of the live, leader Michishige Sayumi said, “There was Reina’s graduation announcement, but we would like to finish this tour without any injuries, so everybody please support us until the very end!” Including the encore, the girls performed a total of 20 songs.
Now granted, there has been a quite a bit of speculation amongst fans that this was going to happen sooner or later when they announced the "Reina Band" auditions back in June.
And even though it was kinda hawt seeing Sayanee strangle her while she was wearing a bikini from the magazine shoot that they were doing at the time, it wasn't necessarily a smart idea to eat the last takoyaki (ie. the one that would have been Sayanee's).

didn't expect sayanee to appear in a bikini on tv....and it did me good
Well....that came totally out of left field. What's particularly surprising is that the actual "scandalous article" hasn't even been published yet (supposedly it comes out later this week), so part of me really wonders if she's jumping the gun with choosing to withdraw from the group now. Similar scandals have caused other AKB members to be outright dismissed/fired from the group (and caused trouble for other idols in general), so at least here, she's been able to take the initiative and leave on her own terms. Still, it sucks that she's got to leave under these circumstances.
Mind you, Yuttan has long been considered to have the talent and potential to be more than "just" an "idol", and with her recent involvement in the "The Wiz" musical (which co-stars ISSA), she may now be thinking of branching off and focusing more on theatrical productions. In any case, I'm pretty confident that this isn't the last we've heard from her.

AKB48’s Masuda Yuka announces her withdrawal from the group
by Shisoon November 28, 2012 at 10:21 am
On November 28th, AKB48’s Masuda Yuka announced on her official blog that she will withdraw from the group.
According to Masuda, there will be a report that she stayed overnight at DA PUMP member ISSA’s place, on a weekly magazine which will be issued tomorrow. Masuda wrote there were things that were not true on the report, but she admitted that, “It is true that I stayed there overnight.”
She also wrote, “I caused trouble by taking blithe action that lead to a misunderstanding by many people, and I have disappointed the fans who have supported me, team members, junior members, staff members, and my family. I thought a lot about what I should do from now on, and in order for me to take the responsibility, though this is quite a sudden announcement, I am withdrawing from AKB48.”
Masuda and ISSA co-stared with each other on Miyamoto Amon’s musical “Wiz ~Oz no Mahoutsukai~.“
I would have understand if her wish was really to leave AKB and i would have been one of the first to congratulate and support her.
But this way of leaving is just terrible.

Those are only the first week's sales numbers. Who knows what'll happen next week, or the week after? This could be a spark for the Sayanee fanboys to come out and clear out the bookstores.
Besides, neither of them really lose, when you think about it. Considering how this little PB competition ploy is, if anything, encouraging people to buy more (like how they include voting tickets for the AKB General Election in certain CD singles to help boost sales).
