Bump, I was going to buy the Ryuki series but screw that if its going to be 62.00, so now I'm watching it on Youtube with the Tabs option on IE, I'm am enjoying it more than when I was watching Faiz-Hibiki.

The first 6 episodes were very boring but it got more better afterwords, It would have been better if it stuck on the Rider War plot at the begining like the 13 rider special. It was disapointing that Scissor died so quickly than the other riders. The four main riders and Raia are cool, the only one that annoyed me was Gai.

BTW, I watched the 13 Rider Special before watching the series. It was ok, had lots of action but less on some of the riders. But the major fault was it was a "What if Shinji got his deck later in the series?" and Ryuki ends up getting screwed over either ending. Plus they even changed Raia's backround.

Now I'm on where Ren gets his Survive card. Question, dose Tiga lasts long in the series? How long dose the Alternatives last?

I'm willing to sell my Ryuki set to you for a cheaper price than that if you're interested.

I'm up to 43 now, and i can say i don't understand what some people felt was bad about it.
I have loved all the battles and the whole plot.
The designs are pretty neat aswell, except that i think Ryuki could have had some more stuff on him. ^_^

And i just can't stop feeling pity for Imperer and his "scared employee" atitude.

I got done with episode 30 a few minutes ago, 29-30 are so freaken funny, even if they are fillers away from the Rider War plot.

So, I just watched ep 28....

When Shinji arrived back after that whole time fuck thing by the 13th rider, he said he did managed to change one thing...what did he change? The subtitles didn't make any sense for that scene.

Also what did those notes say that he left all over the place? Again failure to translate with the subtitles.

Edit: Watched ep 29... was there ever an explanation for what happened to the girls? Were the kidnaped or what? Was it the monster? bah, these episodes are making less and less sense.

The change thing is simple.

He had to go through Tezuka's and the others death twice and all the sorrow the riders have went through. This doubles Shinji's motivation to stop the war.

And what girls in Episode 29? Explain the episode.

lol since people made me the resident ryuki expert here is what he really changed only 1 thing, he did it to keep Yui from knocking the vase over and spilling the water on the picture he and her drew when they were kids, also vigi-kami there was a monster who was folowing the young man and who every he dated it just happened that there was another plot twist with the old lady who happened to loose her business because of ORE so its not really clear if it was the old lady who tied them up and the moster happened to lead shinji to them or if it was the moster who was taking any one who had dated the one guy, sorry hope i didnt make things worse for you guys, and ive added the movie download in my Ryukie thread

That woman kidnapped the girls because of her grudge against the newspaper. That's why she ran off when the guys came to investigate. Then after she got eaten, they used the monster to find where the girls were hidden since monsters can sense where their prey are.

bagon never really becomes nice, oh and for you following my fansub group were gonna be doing Agito, also were still looking for a timer and some one to make our site, any way getting back to ryuki bagon never really becomes nice except in the movie, and heres a little thing to think about for those who have seen the movie, how did the Dark Ryuki come to be, how did he get his powers and why was there a Mirror Version of shinji, and if there was a mirror of him then is there mirrors of all the other riders, talk it out amongst yourselves

He did become nice.

He really wasn't an asshole at the end.

Really, he moved time out of his way just to help a girl who seemed to have cancer. And he lightened up and cared for people.

ok i will give you that his charater developed alot, but in camparison between Bagon and Gorochan he didnt get that nice, and it figures you would go after the first remark, lol, i was so hoping that he would join shinji in his quest, he was a cool character, and belive it or not i like asakura he was pretty awsome, and it would have been cool to see him nice in the movie instead of just the Hyper battle Video

agreed he did die good in the show, and i hated how Shinji died in the show, that was stuiped you dont kill the main charater 1 ep before the show is over, but the movie had a pretty decent ending, it basicly redid the last 3-4 eps of the show

Ryuga owned him and then Femme was like 'OH YEAH~! I GOT MY REEEEEEVENGE!' when she did shit and Asakura would of owned her ass with his viper otherwise.

femme should've been in the tv series, she had great chemistry with shinji, and she's officially the first female rider, if i remember correctly, female herorines who actually fight in kamen rider had been MIA since kamen rider stronger

yea i loved the ending, im so hoping that the story gets finished in a later season, but the odds of that happening are slim

His one wish; his one goal at that moment was to kill his rival, Bagon. And he thought he had killed him and it wasn't. It was Goro. From then he could see he would never face Bagon in a battle again, so he wanted to go out with a bang.

He wanted to fight Bagon. That was it. His goal wasn't really to win, but he wanted to kill his rival. Asakura respected Bagon. Bagon respected Asakura. They were like Shinji and Ren if Shinji and Red actually had killer instincts.

Anyways, I'm putting the fault on the writers/producers. They could have put Shinji's death in the last episode and remove the ridiculous ending and then put up a scene where Asakura dies with honor (criminal or not, he's a warrior in my view)

I got my buddy into Toku finally. He always thought of it as "Gay Power Rangers Shit", until he started watching Kamen Rider Ryuki. He's hardcore into it and started it sunday night and is almost finished the series.

I actually watched a handful of episodes with him too, marking my 3rd time viewing the series.

Asakura Takeshi/Ouja is still my favourite of the series along with Ren Akiyama/Knight.

EXACTLY!!!! A true warrior to the end and a true warrior that the other riders could never be .... sighs ...... he's the only one that fought 4 his own spirit, unlike ever1 else =(

So I just finished to episode 49. And good god if I don't talk about this, it will itch at the back of my eyeballs forever.

Ryuki has kicked the living crap out of Kabuto. Faiz. or hell, Blade. Out of the previous full series new-gen riders that I've watched, nothing is holding a candle to Ryuki after 49 episodes of it. I love Kabuto's suits and gadgets. I love Faiz' gadgets and semi-drama. I enjoyed Blade's kinda-neat storyline. But for the first time, I really felt that I enjoyed a Kamen Rider series for reasons transcending wanting to watch men in plastic suits beat the crap out of each other.

Kido Shinji is dead. He got punk'd even before he transformed. He got stabbed saving a kid. When the dude puked out blood and continued to assist Ren anyway, I really wanted him to just go to the hospital or something. This wasn't natural. The lead Kamen Rider shouldn't be dying like this. But no. He utilizes Survive mode and kicks some monster ass before going. It was a messed up episode for me. But it was so messed up because Shinji was, after 49 episodes a dear character to me, even in his clumsy stupid red spandex costume. And he was just another Rider dying in a series where a lot of Riders died. If anything, Ryuki gave its characters value and didn't depend on cheap plot devices to bail them out(EDIT : THIS IS A LIE.). No. If he dies, he dies.

Does Ryuki belong in the lineup of Kamen Riders, courtesy of Ishinomori? By a conventional means, no. But Shinji represented the ideal Kamen Rider in a brutal, grim world where you must fight to survive. And in the end, he didn't kill anything but monsters. Even then he did it to save people. Sounds cheesy and utterly simple on paper, but that's what Kamen Rider is. Dudes who had the power to put on/transform into costumes, and then used it to save people. And that's it.

Now, on to the Shinji-less finale. This is a bummer.

Now I just finished Episode 50 and everything just reset, sans Yuy and Shiro. Now they're spending eternity drawing happy things instead of monsters.

The rest of the riders never became riders. Just normal kids.

What a cop-out ending. But at the same time it's a really satisfying and nice ending for me.
