For those new to it all, Sengoku Basara is based on a series of video games that plays some really interesting (and at times absurd) twists on Japanese history. There have been two short anime based on them and now it seems like they're getting a live action TV show! Pretty much anything under the Sengoku Basara line has been awesome, and seeing a toku actor in a starring role is going to be tons of fun. The series starts July 12th.

I hope the sexy Kasuga will be in this. Wonder who will play her if she will. Hiroaki Iwanaga as Takeda Shingen is just awesome. A manly guy playing a manly guy.

I hope there will be "OYAKATA-SAMA! YUKIMURA!" moments in this, as well as Date Masamune speaking Engrish, like "LET'S PARTY!", "PUT YOUR GUNS ON!" and "SHIT!":D
