I still find it amusing that Captain Ishiguro's first name in Rescue Force was "Eiji"...

Yeah they are DD, but they are pretty big in size. The Standard Def's are about 4gb, while the HD versions are around 7GB. Its not a standard avi, mp4, mkv type thing. Each of them seem to be different. LIke a lot of files that make it up, vob files, mstr files etc. But there is a file to use, a stream file, within it that will play it. Its not tooooo complicated. Basically like ISOs.
And the reason why I decided to watch it? Well, a while back I realized that a lot of the major movie franchises that are pretty much common knowledge, I never actually saw. It wasn't really a matter of not having access. i was just never interested. Like since last year, I've seen all of the Rocky movies and the Terminator movies (except T3, still havent psyched myself up to see it. haha). If I told you what else I havent seen, you probably would ban me from HJU. :P so yeh, Star Wars was on that list and it was time to watch it. Luckily a friend pointed me to these versions.
BTW, should I see the prequels? I've seen Episode 3 (actually saw it in theatres with a friend). Should I watch the other 2? I know they're bad, but I'm a completionist.
Sadly yeah... watching those and the Gennedy Tartatvarsky Star Wars Clone Wars (which was fantastic) is worth having been a part of the experience. What the prequels did to the overall experience really hurts, but there's good stuff that's come out of it like the Knights of the Old Republic stuff and just knowing the love of having a lightsaber.
This is the best thing to come out of the prequel tragedies:

So like Power Rangers (after Lost in Space, anyway), each season of Kamen Rider stands on its own and doesn't tie into the next or previous season? I'm wondering cause reading up on Kamen Rider W, I kinda want to avoid that one. Seems silly.

It's totally up to the viewer. I like think it's all in one world, but they can all stand on their own too. There's no official final word on that one way or the other.
I also think all the PR series are in the same universe.
Kamen Rider W for myself personally is the hands down best Kamen Rider series I've seen. You should give it a go and see if you like it before you make a final call. :)

The only shows that tied into each other were the older ones, but those were also done in the way Power Rangers ties into older shows: you don't have to see older shows, but you appreciated the team ups more.
W is actually one of those shows the fandom just jumped on as a great show. There was a lot of hesitation towards it at first because it seemed really...different, even for Kamen Rider, but people ended up loving the show right from the first episode. Don't let initial images fool you, even a show that presented itself as serious business like Kabuto ended end having some really silly (and pretty out of place) material later on into its run.
Personally, I think W, Blade, and Agito are the great starter shows, they each have a bit of what makes all the other shows good watches.
(of course the older shows are pretty awesome as well and a lot of them are being actively subbed, the first series has somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 episodes subbed)
I'll give it a shot. It's a good episode, but I think 24 and 25 are the best shows in the series and they do focus on Ishiguro's character pretty well. Those tend to be the two episodes that can really hook people on the show.

Not recommending Den-O as a starter is just plain silly.

So where is the link to those artist toys Vengelus talked about?
You know usually I find these MEgasodes to be ludicrous in length, but since I spent most of yesterday standing around waiting for buses to come I was glad to have you guys for five hours.
