Elsewhere, sinister things were happening in the world. Hopper-0, who had used his immense power to control the world, was lounging in his palace, which he had built over the ruins of the Tokyo Imperial Palace. to help keep his reign, he divided up his forces across the world, the different divisions inforcing his law over the countries of the Earth. "Ahh, what a glorious day to be ruler of the world. Although" he said to himself "The riders are becoming a nuisance. What with our defeat at Futo, I may have to send some of my stronger forces to take care of them. Though I wonder what else I can do with this wonderful box" He held the Nikushimigami Box in his hands, thinking of what great things he could do with it. He already discovered that by sacrificing some of the hatred Kaijin to it, he coul revive an even greater being of hatred, as he did by sacrificing a bunch of Imagin to revive the time bandit Gaoh. "Oh well, I still am contempt with what I have right now

In another part of the castle, a man with a dark tranchcoat and spiked hair was in a hall of mirrors, surrounded by mirror monsters. "Okay, you disguting beasts, time to meet your maker" The man then took out a deck of cards and held it in front of a mirror. A belt then appeared on his waist from out of the mirror "Henshin!" he placed the deck into the belt and the man, Ren Akiyama, transformed into Kamen Rider Knight. "Yaaaaahhh!" He drew his Dark Visor and charged at the monsters, slashing through them one by one. He seemed to be doing well, but a horde ganged up on him "I don't think so" he then opened up the Visor, drew a card and placed it in "ADVENT" from out of the mirror came his Contract Monster, DarkWing, who mananged to distract the monsters while Knight drew another card "NASTY VENT" DarkWing then sent out a sonic screech that was painful to the monsters, leaving them disoriented, so Knight went on the attack "TRICK VENT" He then multiplied into several copies of himself, and went wild on the Mirror Monsters, hacking and slashing through them until they were all destroyed. After that, the Knights formed back into one, and DarkWing ate the many essences that were left behind. Knight then removed the Knight Deck from his V-Buckle and reverted to Ren. "Well, my friend, that should keep you satiated for now"

"Hiyori...You never chose me..." Souji, shaking, cried to himself. "I protected you. I saved you...And you still left with that guy." Souji started wandering around Tokyo, and noticed a still standing Tokyo Tower. "That guy...He's...He's..." Souji, now tensing up, said before letting out a loud scream. At that moment three human disguised Worms, now allies with the Natives due to the Nikushimigami Box's tampering, appeared to him. Souji turns and looks at the group with an angered expression. At that moment, the Dark Kabuto Zector flies through the three Worms, actually destroying them before he transformed.

"Gah!" Screamed Souji, but the Dark Kabuto Zector didn't retreat like usual. It actually started circling around him, and then flew to a specific spot. "You want me...To follow?" Asked Souji. The Zector responded with a loud, but deep, pitched beep. He follows his Zector, which was leading him somewhere.

Ren later walked through the castle with DarkWing, looking around "Friend, I'm glad that you are by my side. even though you can't talk to me, without yiou I would surely lose my sanity. I wonder who else there is out there struggling to survive like we are" He then went to a special room of the Hatred Castle. Therein lied the preserved body of Ren's fiance Eri Ogawa, which Hopper-0 had used as a bargaing chip for Ren to join him. As long as Ren stayed loyal, Eri stayed alive. "Oh Eri, if only I could find a way to set you free and escape from here with you, but that machine has your soul. someday, my love, I promise that I'll set you free. but for now, I have given myself to the darkness"

He then went upstairs and looked out the window, onto the city "This place used to be so wonderful, but now it's like the old Tokyo was just a thing of fantasy. Oh, well, as long as Eri and I can survive..."

As he enters, he sees Taiga killing off Fangires, and becomes upset with him "Taiga? what in the world do you think you're doing?! You're killing off the master's soldiers. DarkWing perched on his shoulder "If the master found out about this, he'd have your head, and your little friend there would be fed to the Kaijin"

He knelt down and picked up the pieces of the killed Fangires "So why would a smart young man like yourself do such a stupid thing?"
