I've always thought an anniversary show like this is one where even retired actors might make an exception for a role if they loved it enough. (though I don't really know the opinions of the Maskman cast on their show and characters)

I always imagined it that way as well.

That makes sense. They'll do follow-ups when they can get original actors and engage in craziness where they can't.

That makes sense. They'll do follow-ups when they can get original actors and engage in craziness where they can't.

Very logical approach. I'm hoping it works out that way.

Oh, that's just me wondering if the cast liked their roles enough to consider coming out of retirement for one more stint.

but apparently, their stories are to the original shows. [...] it means that we are actually getting continuations of old seriesI'm wondering how they'd continue something like DaiRanger since I've recently thought its ending to be a sort of firewall against sequels.

so, they can't get back most actors from the 80's and 90's, what about the 00's series? I'm sure some of them would love to be back in Sentai, even if it's just a few minutes of screen time. don't tell me they're also gonna recast the Goseigers when I doubt it's pricey to extend their contract for another year.

If Decade is anything to go by? The original Goseiger actors will probably get more screentime than any of the other "returning" shows.

The Goseigers will be the easiest to get back since they will be barely out the door. Not to mention that they might be contracted to return for an episode or two.

The Goseiger's are likely contracted for a VS movie and Super Sentai movie. They all HAVE to be there.

We've gotten some sentai actors in Kamen Rider over the past few years

Ayumi- Double
Ryuuga- Double

Red Mask quit acting around '01 or so, and not much is known about him. (I've read people say he lives in the Philippines now, but I don't know if that's true or not.)

Black Mask is now a regular joe working an office job -- he's recently popped up to do a fan event/convention, but I don't imagine him getting back into acting.

Blue Mask quit acting shortly after Jiraiya, but has also recently taken part in the fan community. A couple of years ago he had a blog where he talked about his toku past. He remains friends with Jiraiya's Takumi Tsutsui. Maybe they could get him, but I dunno.

Pink and Yellow have vanished.

Funnily enough, X1 Mask is still active, but as a director.

But, there's numerous Sentai actors who have quit acting, but they'll pop up regularly at fan events/conventions and reunions or whatever. I think they could get a lot of those guys, but the Maskman cast have been laying low.

Oh pinks actress would probably be willing to make an appearance. She made an appearance to celebrate the anniversary of ohranger VS kakuranger in 2008

I already had to deal with listening to her voice in Mai Otome, I do not need to hear or look at her anymore.

Why, I seem to like her a lot, though her characters are always silly and sometimes not serious.

Anyone expecting every actor back needs a reality check. At most I expect them to go the Decade route with new actors and a few of the originals. Hopefully they will have a good explanation for the new actors like they did for Decade.

You could probably get a lot of the newer series actors back, Furuhara Yasuhisa, and Hidenori Tokuyama being huge fanboys would definitely be back. Go-Onger will be so easy to work into a series like this since technically they are still an active team. :D :loltongue:

The ones who are hard up for work couldn't really afford to say no to paycheck either.

Keiichi Wada was on Rescue Force a couple of years ago, so I think he'd be open to coming back.

It's gonna be a mixed bag for sure of who comes back and doesn't, I figure getting full casts from the 2000 series would be a lot easier than the 70's-90's series.
