Niizu seems to have the same powers as the Gokaiger, except his mini-figures are that of past villain groups' generals, and are used to summon them. Finally a villain whos powers are the same to that of the heroes.
Please bring back Toranza.....Please.........please...........

Everything sounds really promising right now. It all looks good on "paper" to say, so let's hope the final product will deliver.

Goukaiger is an anniversary series so Youtube uploaders beware, nothing will stand in the way of Toei's evil anniversary boxsets

Lovin the new info.

Decade rocked imo.
Man, I remember when I first saw this. I thought Goseiger was going to kickass and/or have a good story. I still love that pic though.
Goseiger has a fine story, nothing exteme but still better than some others imo.
And we start again with the gashapon flyer

Gokai stuff:
- A sentai whose powers allow them to transform into past generations Sentai Warriors!
-When the occassion arrives where male colors must become females (and vice-a-versa) a skirt is attached. (I so called this!!!)
-Red's mecha is a Pirate Ship.
-The Gattai Robo has a pirate hat, and a cannon attached (to his arm possibly?)
-The Gattai Robo has "Rekidai Modes" (Past Generation Modes) "ShinkenOh Mode" has been confirmed.
-More info at the end of next month.
The anticipation is growing......

That means nothing. For 33 years there were no female reds. Then BAM! Shinkenger brings us Kaoru.
Silver started off exclusive to men then we got Go-OnSilver. I won't argue if someone wants to say DekaBright either.
Just because it hasn't happened before is no reason to assume it won't happen. Especially in recent years.

I gotta say I am in no rush to see this season. I don't know, something about the whole able to transform into past heroes and mecha changing to past mecha thing just seems like the easy way out.
Don't get me wrong the series seems fun, and i'm going flip when I see past villains and senshis; but i don't really see the series having a story of it's own. W/e though, we'll see.

To me it sounds like Toei is trying to go out of its way to avoid attempting to bring back as many Sentai alumni as possible. That really would be the simplest way to go, but instead we have this premise of the newest team becoming past heroes, even to the extent of having to switch colors and females adopting alter-egos that were previously male.

Goukaiger sounds like it's going to be a "festival" type of series with a thin excuse for a plot and a whole lot of fanservice. As long as Toei keeps the plot at a workmanlike level, the show should be a lot of fun. I doubt it'll be a series for people who want Super Sentai to start taking its narrative seriously, though. Everything about this premise just screams "goofy."

Speaking of plot, we haven't actually heard anything about the show's actual one have we? Just the Decadeish premise?

On the other hand, people who have been disillusioned in Super Sentai lately can perhaps look forward to the series after Gokaiger intentionally stepping up the game the way that W did post-Decade.
It seems odd that they'd try to go out of their way not to bring back alums, though. It's not like they haven't been showing up everywhere just in regular Sentai & KR the past few years.

The idea of transforming into past Sentai teams has more to do with merchandising. Allowing the new hero to transform into past teams and the robot to somehow copy past robots promotes new henshin items and mecha that are connected to multiple past series.
It's a way to bring the "anniversary" and "crossover" theme to the toyline too, rather than just use it in the tv show/movies. One way or another, with their actual actors or not, the older teams probably will appear in the show, so I don't think it has anything to do with not bringing back past actors.

Effff that. Goseiger's okay, but it's definitely nowhere near Shinkenger. I need something that can get me excited about Sentai again.
I don't know what series you've been watching, but more often than not, Sentai is about episode-to-episode plots moreso than long-form storytelling (with the obvious exception of the "big bad" every season). Plus, unlike Kamen Rider, where each world has a unique feel that stretches past suits, weapons, mecha, you can pretty much do all 34 worlds without putting as much work into the writing (see: Decade) and turn out okay.
All I REALLY need for Goukaiger to work is one original actor from each series. That may not be possible for all 34, but at least for more than half. If I can get that, then I'll be happy to sit through the Goukaiger before Toei re-tools (sort of) Sentai again the way they do every 10-11 years. Last time was Gaoranger. Time before that was Zyuranger; post-anniversary series seems like the perfect time to try it again.

So the robot can change forms now? Ok, so we have 34 years of props that need fixing, 34 years of actors to call back, and 34 years of story to work on, god help us if Toei goes bankrupt with this show. :O_O:
