For anyone who's seen the latest Goseiger,
the mecha-human grunts look amazing. I hope that the Goukaiger's enemies look something like them
And I remember reading some rumor that the Matorintis from Goseiger come from the same dimension as the Goukaigers, so it might be possible.
Those are the "supposed" Goseiger concept suits

Honestly, I wish they'd kept them...

I liked the sutis too, but I don't know if they would fit in Goseiger, but maybe another Sentai it would be cool.

Base and henshin device rumor

-It is rumored that the Gokaiger's henshin device (and weapon) is a pirate sword.
-The Gokaiger's base will be a pirate ship. The pirate ship is rumored to be called the "GokaiGou". The pirate ship will transform into their 1st Robo.
-The villains will consist of the "Original Kaijin" that the older sentai fought against. It is unknown whether this means that there will be new monsters of old kaijin groups, only old monsters, or a mix of the two. It really depends on how they go about the different worlds thing.
-Past rangers appear in this work. As with Decade, it is to be a mix of old actors returning and new actors dawning the suits. Gokaiger will involve the rangers traveling a dimensional sea, and ending up in the worlds of past Sentai.

Depending on how they go about it, these worlds may actually be back in time, and having the old actors, in some cases, may not make any sense, especially given the fact that a good deal of them are not able to return, for one reason or another.

Sometimes I wonder if Toei would recast the Showa Riders (I don't mean AU versions, like Decade's Amazon, but the originals themselves) because they aren't supposed to age due to their status as cyborgs... So far they haven't done that though and even created the "AU" versions for the Heisei Riders in Decade, rather than actually recasting old characters... but that limits what they can do if Toei isn't willing or able to bring back their actors.

Anyway, I'll be disappointed if some groups return from the middle of the tv show with new actors. It'd be interesting to see things like a post-Flashman story, even if almost everyone remained suit only.

I've recently rewatched the Kamen Rider X Movie, this time with subs, and they actually handled keeping the 4 previous Riders suit-only rather well back then. They weren't even limited only to a big battle like usual, but appearing throughout the movie in various scenarios. Of course, scenarios where the Riders being transformed made sense, like searching for monsters and right after battles - but they had enough focus in those moments that had character focused scenes that weren't out of place. They also were smart enough to let Kamen Rider X himself stay mostly transformed while around the other Riders.

I wish GoseiKnight were an experiment to see how modern audiences would react to characters staying transformed all the time again, but who knows...

Sentai has been more flexable when it comes to "passing the torch," for example the original Vul Eagle gave the role to his best friend when he left. So having someone else being the Ranger that we've known isn't so far fetch.

You know, I had thought about a cutlass henshin device during the compass discussion a few pages back. I dismissed it offhand as probably too big an object to engineer into a toy in the right price range, but maybe Bandai's thought of a way to pull it off. A cutlass is pretty pirate-y and would be a fun roleplay toy for a kid, especially if it makes sounds.

I said this from the very beginning. Now All we're gonna hear all year is "This sucks, it doesn't have the original actors in it."

I kept saying the idea of a decade sentai would not work how everyone was expecting it to from the start of the rumor. I kept getting told I was up myself and all sorts of shit because I said it wasn't going to be what people thought it would be. Now it's time for me to be entertained by how right I was.

I'm loving the Sword henshin device and mecha plan very much. I like the teams theme altogether if I'm honest.

Well I'm trying to remain optimistic. I mean I'm pretty excited for the Pirate them part of things. Just not keen on the whole Decade thing, not so soon after Kamen Rider failed at it.
