I don't think these early leaked casts ever turn out correct. Casting is the one thing they seem to be able to stop from leaking early.

auditions are normally held within Sept-Oct. so they're probably still electing the cast members. it could already be final round at this moment.
AND about the "Toei doesn't like casting anybody above 21" was MY statement, thank you very much for not mentioning me.
that only applies to Super Sentai. Kamen Rider's casting is a little different as far as I know.

hmm he's 27. Dammit.

Cheer up. I think you're like me - Every year I complain that I'll miss the hot guy, and then there's another one in the new show :anime:

I seem to remember that after the Goseiger cast was announced, someone quoted Rika Sato as saying she only narrowly got the part because of the age restriction. If that was you, fair enough, but what difference does it really make? :rolleyes2:

Kamen Rider seems to go a little older because Renn Kiriyama was 24 when cast as Shotaro, but they've been going for much younger lead actors too - (at time of casting) 16-year-old Masaki Suda, 18-year-old Shu Watanabe and 19-year-old Masahiro Inoue to name but a few

I don't follow actors' blogs so I can't be sure, but some people on livejournal who do are reporting that Dori is 1)busy with something secret and 2)randomly mentioning Tori Matsuzaka.
It still might mean nothing. ;)

I think a lot of them just turn out to be some fan's wish list, though the Sakuraba rumor seems to have some extra weight to it.

I don't like AKB8 at all, but I really wished Kojima Haruna would be casted as Pink. she looks like a suitable Pink.
oh wait, there isn't going to be Pink next year right? screw it then.

He and Tori are in a drama together at the moment, I think that's why? He was also a guest star in an episode of that hospital show Tori did, perhaps they are friends

There probably will be a Pink. I'd be surprised if there weren't.

Haruna Kojima reminds me of Rika Sato ... the hairstyle, I think, and the ears

Anyone remember the exact same thing we got last year with the speculated actors and NONE of them were true?. Yeah, I'd wait until things are confirmed before even bothering to talk about it to be honest.
But this time it's real! I can feel it!

After reading the last few pages I've learned that girls are just as perverted as guys.

I think it's about their drama "CLONE BABY," which is a really cool drama, btw (imagine Tori being a psycho)

I really hope Shinichi Ishihara does the theme and not Psychic Lover. As much as I love Psychic Lover, I don't want them to do the theme yet again. Shinichi would own the theme if he does it.

Yeah! I was just listening to his "Song Best" the other day and thought, Man, Ishihara needs a new theme. But I'd really like Hironobu Kageyama, if they could coax him into doing it -- I remember Kageyama hinting in '06 that they wanted him for Boukenger, but that's when he was starting to try and be loyal to the Lantis label. It would be nice if he could get away to do the 35th anniversary theme...

Really, the OP theme should be Kageyama and the ED theme should be MoJo -- the two guys who have done the most Sentai themes. Or it could be funky to have one song, but switch who sings it every now and then, like they did with "Weeds."

They've only done a handful of sentai themes, and frankly, if they're easy to work with, and they like working for the franchise (they've composed songs for the show they didn't even perform in), then I don't see any reason for changing it up.

That said, I love Ishihara, and his songs always, always rock, but I don't see his voice really matching what the tone of the series is supposed to be. (Keep in mind they are going for the lighter side of pirates, so I expect an upbeat, tenor singer, i.e. Kitadani's We Are!)

The heavy hitters are hard to get for opening themes nowadays (as Shougo stated above, the JAM Project members are signed to Lantis, and it's difficult), but we did manage to get a few to sing the Bouken VS SS song, so I think that's probably what's going to happen again.

I think I'd rather have Kenta Satou, man. At least for the OP.

I don't think it's that they're hard to get, I think Columbia just likes using the "new generation"/younger singers for the major songs, the opening and endings. So, the heavy hitters and veterans are relegated to just the throwaway insert stuff. Which is sad. Guys like Shinichi Ishihara and MoJo are too talented to be wasted on songs that are heard once in a series.

I liked when Sentai at least tried to have a veteran do the ending theme -- Kushida on Abaranger, Sasaki in Dekaranger, Mizuki for Gekiranger -- but it seems like that's out, and they just want to stick with the Project.R clowns.

I think I'd rather have Kenta Satou, man. At least for the OP.

Ah! Satou's an awesome idea.

Mecha rumor:

-Recent rumors state that the Gokaiger's main robot, the aformentioned in rumors Pirate Ship, is in fact to be based on Noah's Ark. Now this makes sense.

If the Gokaiger utilize a vast system of auxilary mecha (rumored to be animals) then this Ark can store the mecha inside of it.

Going from previous rumors, the robot is supposed to be quite bulky, resembling GoseiGround.
Now I like this idea of combing the elements of base robot with main robot. I just hope that none of the auxilary mecha are helmets, the main robot usually has a nice design but we never really get to see them anymore.

The idea of Noah's Ark with animals sounds awesome

Even though I know the mechas will end up being clusterfucks with countless unnecessary auxilary mechas that will end up taking away from the overall story

Did I mention I don't like the way Sentai handles their mechas now?

I'm finding myself enjoying the mecha battles in Goseiger though, so it may not be all bad next year.

I think Toei should make one Sentai series with two episode arcs, so not every episode has the mecha battles.
