The sleepy effect and the fact it makes you knock out for 8 hours also means doctors sometimes prescribe it when you can't really sleep for other reasons besides allergies. Like when I had a horrible cold and couldn't breathe.

I've had some friends that just took it for sleep medicine period.

o.oa Maybe I'm just used to Asian celebs or it's a combination with the fact that I've known about Gackt since I was in high school so I've known him for 10 years, but he never seemed that young to me. XD He was clearly in his 20s already when he was in Malice Mizer and my sister and I found out about him shortly after his Rebirth album got released and he was well into his solo career. My sister collects his Platinum Bibles too, so we might just be used to it.

His youthful look though kind of goes along well with all those lies he told over the years about being a vampire and his parents being like Greecian heroes and crap. XD He's amusing. At least he stopped telling those crazy bald faced lies or talking about weird quirky things. In recent shows he's been on he's actually been like serious and upfront. One of my friends had me watch a talk he did with TMR and Daigo Stardust.

For me though, I think the best way to describe his look is one line from one of his earlier songs "Vanilla" -- cool like plastic, which is also the name of one of his biggest fansites. It fits him really well though.

Also, his sound for YFC sounds good again. Cuz he took a hit and miss spiral since after Rebirth. I'm pretty sure most of the people on this board don't even realize it since most of you got into him shortly after Decade, but honestly his recent songs have been only mediocre at best. It's kind of hard to tell that though when he's already really famous and you haven't known about his earlier works though. For me though and for other people that have known him longer, his recent songs didn't really have as much of a "pop" or an attention grabber as they used to. So going into YFC seems like kind of a revival of some of the older stuff. Only maybe minus the ballads.

Benadryl is the brand name.. the generic name is diphenhydramine... so unless they did something crazy like how they renamed paracetamol to acetaminophen in the states..... the generic name may sound familiar to u :D .... it's cuz brand names are different in different countries :3

Actually I find him to be kind of manly too. Granted he's rather beautiful and all, but girly is not one of the words I'd use for him.

The measuring of body fat is one of the jokes in the Takano Yuri ads too. XD Cuz Gackt is supposed to have the perfect male body, and then he gets pissed off when his female counterpart has fat. LOL

I actually knew Gackt since around the sophomore/junior year when I was in high school also. It was right before MM moved onto Klaha, but Kami already passed away. Rebirth had come out fairly recently too because my sister got the limited edition of the album that came in a giant plastic cross as a present.

To me at first I thought he was a guy that was very classy and like...together. But then he went on TV and had all these goofy stories and stuff I didn't really want to know. O_o

I always thought his acting was kind of...interesting. Although I figured it was within his image to do a vampire movie. The only thing really contradictory is young Sho, but I think in the later part of the movie for the climax, that's more like how he actually is. Well, plus the movie overall was part of his big project he had with the Moon & Crescent albums and was supposed to be some ginormous story altogether.

But for me, doing the KR theme songs wasn't that far of a stretch since he got all over Gundam and then all over Dirge of Cerberus. KR was just another thing for me to facepalm at. XD
