Driven: An original Tokusatsu RPG

The year: 2059

The place: The Nevada Desert.

Approximately two years ago in the city of Las Nidos a catastrophic event caused a horrible virus to be spread throughout the city a such a rapid rate that noone was able to avoid being infected. The US Government immediately quarantined the city and appointed Adam Royale, the one responsible for developing the virus, to attempt to fix the problem within three years time or face the consequences.

Two years have passed and there is still no hope. The outside world cut off from the incident and the inhabitants left within the massive walls built around it to keep the infected at bay.

The virus is unique in ways. First it speeds up the infected victims metabolism, making them need to eat large amounts of food in order to stay functioning. Then it develops a thick coarse rash on the infected's skin and start making it hard enough to stop most penetration. Almost immediately after that comes many other symptoms, such as loss of mental faculties and primal tendencies similar to those caused by rabies. The final phase is the most drastic with the infected becoming a large insect-like monster.

Royale has made a treatment for the virus which, at this phase of development, can only slow down the transformation.

In order to deal with the infected monsters Royale took studies of those who had appeared to be immune to the virus. He discovered that those immune had a specific gene that he dubbed the "Hunter" gene. That gene made the individuals perfect for combatting the infected. This was what Royale was hoping for. Realizing that he himself and his son, Alexander, were both carriers of the "Hunter" gene he started developing a special weapons system that only "Hunters" could use.

These weapons were specialty combat suits made from a combination of a superdense cloth-like metal polymer body suit with light-flexible armor that could be easily modified to suit the users needs and style. These weapons came to be known as "Drivers".

The Drivers were accessed through small flash-drive like objects that would teleport them from an underground vault to the user upon activation code input. These are known as "Access Drives".

Royale made a survey which would help him find "Hunters" and create small "Hunter Squadron" groups in order to act not only as protection against the infected but also to act as the city's new police force. His son, Alexander Royale is the leader of the Hunter Squadrons and is fully supportive of his father's plans.

But as with every power that emerges there is opposition. An underground resistance has been formed to stop the Hunter Squadrons from overreaching their boundaries.

You are a Hunter, pick a side and save this city as you see fit.

Rules

1. NO GODMODDING. This power is only reserved to me or anyone I give it to. And I will only give it to someone only if the story and the technology allows it.

2. Be polite and don't take control of another person's character, even in an NPC like manner.

3. Feel free to ask me any questions about the technology and the world, I'm happy to help.

4. Keep it PG-13, I don't want things getting too graphic. I mean that in every sense of the word okay? So no nookie, overtly obsene language and extreme gore.

5. Noone leaves the city unless I approve of it, this is an important aspect of the story.

6. There is no rule 6.

7. I reserve the right to control all main leaders and possibly the field leaders if the situation demands it.

Here's the faction situation:

Royale's Hunter Squadrons are the most prominent force and are made of six teams consisting of normal human troops and a leading Hunter. There are other Hunters that are not leaders of a troop but are treated as spec ops and are put through rigorous training.

The Resistance is very covert and small in number. They are led by a scientist who formerly worked with Adam Royale to create the Drivers. They consist MOSTLY of normal humans and Hunters are few in number.

Bio: Born into an abusive home Kyle wanted desperate to leave and make something of himself. Upon turning 16 he left home and traveled around the country, drifting from place to place. Finally he made it to Las Nidos around the time the incident occurred. Since then he has lived in a small run down apartment working at a job for only short amounts of time. He had lost hope of doing anything with his life until one fateful night he was attacked by an infected human. Luckily Magnum was there to save him, he then learned of the Resistance and considered joining it. After being taken to the Resistance base a stolen Drive activated due to his prescense. Since then he has worked with the Resistance to aid those who have suffered from the quarantine and from the Hunter Squadrons over-protective actions.

Driver: His Drive is named Omni due to it's power to access multiple forms. This is an untested ability of the Drive but it is speculated that under the right circumstances Kyle will be able to develop these forms himself. It is equipped with a handgun that can change into a dagger, creating the perfect balance of mid and short range combat. His transformation device is a wrist device, to transform he presses a button on it and says "Change Up!"

Bio: Andrew was in the middle of it all the day it happened. He had lived in Las Nidos for the eighteen years of his life and he never believed something like this would happen. Though it was scary to see them all. They were insects just feasting on the sick and normal, but thankfully help came and their name was the Hunter squadron. Never before in Andrew's life had his prays been answered from the death of his father to his mother's illness before she died of the virus that was spread on this day. Andrew saw these beings though being defeated by armor soldiers he heard being called hunters and when he approached one who had just killed on and he said," Please help me." The hunter grabbed the kid believing he was infected and then a yellow and black hunter that looked very much like a king took the kid's arm and he said," Let him go he is immune." Andrew did not know what he meant until he figured out that he wasn't normal.

That day Andrew was taken outside of the city after being cleaned and there was a facility like a school that trained people to be Hunters. There Andrew trained day in and day out for a year as a Blank hunter. He was sent on various missions where he had to stop people who had completed their transformation and after everything he went through he was rewarded. Andrew stood still in the same room where they installed the device that let him changed along with giving him his blank driver, and after the machine scanned him his blank driver usb was changed with a swan where the grey circle at the end of the usb and it had changed to light blue and he said," This is great so you mean it. I have gained my personal driver." Andrew that day headed to the office of the man Alexander Royale's lab to thank him for saving him that day and his appreciation for everything he has done for him, and with that he heard something he didn't wish to hear, and that was they wanted to not only take control of the city but even more then that. Aiden didn't know how far they wanted to control, but he knew he needed to stop them.

After that and finding out about the resistances Klein then found Aiden one day on the outsides of town and he said," You how did you become a hunter?" Aiden said," I believed in the Squadron and yet they were nothing like i saw them as." Klein then said," Wow and yours is custom as well. If you would I am trying to stop them and with that I would like your help." Aiden smiled and then said," Alright I am in." Aiden smiled and then joined the resistance as the 2nd squad leader.

Driver: Cygnus Drive- The Cygnus driver uses a rapier like blade that he forms to fight his enemies. The Cygnus driver is also like the constellation based off of a swan, and being a very majestic like armor it also has the chilling bite of the arctic which helps him by being able to freeze the enemy's body parts and weapons that touch his armor. To activate Andrew says," Freeze Up." And then presses a button on his brace device.
