R5 Central: Podcasting at it's finest....maybe

Hey all. I'm going to be starting up my own little podcast soon entitled R5 Central.

What will it consist of? Basically my little sector of cyberspace (wow does anybody really say cyberspace anymore?) where I rant, laugh, and generally have a good time. It'll be somewhat based in toku/anime but I'll make tangents and offshoots every now and again (maybe a Doctor Who reference or two). Hopefully we can have guests but that's a BIG hopeful as I'll be conducting interviews via Skype and I need ot get the software to record the convos.

Well I did mention the idea of doing a HJU roundtable talk. When I work out how to record the online phone conversations, I'll let you guys know. Hell, I mentioned doing a Coutndown to Mystic Force special, perhaps that should be it ^^

Alright folks. Need your help...again...Anybody that has a mic, listen up.

Each ep of R5 is going to have a custom intro so for the Countdown to Mystic Force episode that I'm planning to have, I had a nice little idea.

Anybody that went to Acen 05 remembers Mega Ranger's Freakin Suite Chant ("I say Cukoo/You say clock etc"). That's going to be the intro ^^

When I get Mega's bit, I'll add in my bit and post it up here so you guys get an idea how it's going to sound and where you kind and wonderful volunteers will come in.

R5 is a podcast, something like an online radio show, only I'm never live and the episodes are pre-recorded. For info on what the show really is for the most part, just go to the ofccial blog @ http://r5central.blogspot.com

Podcastring works like this. I pre-record an episode and by using an RSS feed, I send the url to the Podcast section of iTunes and they uplaod it to their main directory. After that, people can download the episode to their iPod and listen to it as if it was a radio show.

In my case, I'm also making the episodes available as seperate MP3s.

I think it might work if it has a regular mic jack. Try plugging it it and see what happens.

A friend of mind just recently got me into this stuff and I've been listening to some pretty good video game PodCasts. This... fills me in on stuff in the Toku-world I just didn't know.

I just don't have time to read every post or website on the net. This is cool, cuz I do a lot of travel in between places and it's like reading your favorite website on the go.

An actual HJU website is in the works for the far feauture and I plan to regulary pimp this, cuz fans like us should be listening to it. You also gotta hear the HJU promo he put together. It's bloody brilliant. :D

Anyway, click it, load it to your iPod or MP3 Player and enjoy. Thanks for all the hard work, Kimiden!
