Are there any J-Dramas out there that were terrible, or not worth the time? I'm looking for a show to watch next, and I don't want to end up wishing I hadn't watched something. Granted, I've loved all the dramas I've seen thus far, but...better safe than sorry.

As for myself, I recently finished Bambino!, and Episode 4 turned me off from the show for about a month. But the show overall is really good, but just a warning about that episode. ;P

So...any drama you didn't like?

Hana Yori Dango 2 - If you haven't seen it, just avoid it, it's basically the first season stories reused for the characters a year later. The final episodes were okay, but they came way too late.

I haven't seen it. I've been planning to...but for some reason I keep getting sidetracked, lol. Guess that was a good thing?

Thanks.

Life (ライフ). Despite having one really, really, really awesome scene where

Houjou Takahiro (Mutsuki!) stops a crazy dude from stabbing a girl by grabbing the knife blade with his bare hand, acting like it's no big deal, and proceeding to beat down on some nutty manic-depressive high schooler ass,

the rest of it wasn't very good. If you're going to try to seriously portray the harsh effects of bullying in schools, it really doesn't help if you have cartoony antics like the entire school rushing out in unison and some seriously questionable acting from the students. The ending is also pretty meh.

Unless I just missed the joke and it was really supposed to be a comedy, then it's quite possibly one of the best dramas ever!

Teppan Shoujo Akane Defitnetly. I love Horikita maki but its hard to watch the drama because the food looks so yummy and the story were also boring. I just saw 3 eps or so and then i stopped.

About Hana Yori Dango Returns though, well i find it interesting but compared to the first one it sucked. But im still hoping for the movie to be better and who have seen the last episode of the second season you probably already know whats its going to be about

I actually liked HYD2 more than the first season  , shigeru's character really made up the series for me to watch it, in fact around episode 8 where her character end, that's where the series end for me.
I think is a worth to see series actually.

Dramas to NOT see:
Boku dake no madona (REALLY BORING)
Watashitachi no kyokasho (Has a really good ending, but the series is really hard to follow cos' is kinda boring)

Unles you are use to sad is storys or like sad stories don't (y reapeat DON'T) see these dramas, because they are really sad.

WHAT. Everyone should see WataKyou, it's not boring!Right!

It's, without a doubt, my favorite J-Drama. It may seem boring to some, but it's a pretty damn awesome series.

Densha Otoko, Hiro, and Igarashi Shunji (Mebius) are all in it.

For the record, I really liked HYD2, but I can see how it'd turn some people off. :/

In my defense i can say that i saw the hole drama, and for me it was really hard to follow con i didn't find it interesting after episode 2. But the end was really awsome and actually mede up for the other 8 episode in the midle that i didn't like. Mebius character was really cool actually. But still i disliked more thing of that drama that things that i actually liked.

There's nothing wrong with Hana Yori Dango. The first one was pretty entertaining, although there were a few things that bothered me. I've seen the first episode of HYD2, and it was painful. I'll finish it eventually, but not anytime soon.

For J Dramas, I mostly stick to classic chanbara [samurai genre] My faves are Zenigata Heiji, Mito Komon, Abarenbo Shogun, and the tv versions of Zatoichi and Lone Wolf and Cub.
